Born and raised in Hawaii. Lives in Lihue, Kauai with his wife and two daughters. They have two adopted pets from the Kauai Humane Society, Haku the three-legged dog, and Chopin the cat.

For Kauai folks, his father is Maurice. Part of The Yamasato family in Kapa'a from plantation days.

In the past, Aaron has worked as a Hollywood casting agent (Power Rangers) and created award-winning animated short films. He cherished the experience of working for Japanese celebrities Eikichi Yazawa, Takeshi Kitano, and Screaming Mad George. After graduating from film school and working in Los Angeles, he moved back to Hawaii and directed his first live-action feature-length film, "Blood of the Samurai”, which received the Best Hawaii Film Award at the Hawaii International Film Festival. It is currently available on DVD and streaming platforms (Sony Playstation Network/Amazon Prime). It was followed by various projects, such as “Blood of the Samurai: The Series”, “Blood of the Samurai 2” and the spin-off TV series “Ninja EX”. His short action/martial arts film featuring the character 'Ninja EX', screened at the Kyoto HISTORICA International Film Festival (Japan), Iron Dragon TV ActionFest (Texas), Famous Monsters Silver Scream Festival (Texas), Action On Film Festival (Las Vegas) and the Gen Con Film Festival (Indiana). His latest action/horror project called, "Ninja EX: Biokillers" has recently won multiple film festival awards. As a long-time fan of comic conventions and pop culture, it was a dream come true for him to bring the first-ever comic con to the people of Kauai!
